November 28, 2018, 7 PM: The Lives of Louis Palma di cesnola and Filippo Mazzei
The Mentoris Project, with the Chapman University Leatherby Libraries and the Italian Studies Program, presents an evening on the lives of Louis Palma di Cesnola and Filippo Mazzei. Mentoris Project book authors Peg Lamphier (Soldier, Diplomat, Archaeologist: A Novel Based on the Bold Life of Louis Palma di Cesnola) and Rosanne Welch (America’s Forgotten Founding Father: A Novel Based on the Life of Filippo Mazzei) will discuss these famous Italians and sign books. October 13, 2018: Hollywood Tribute to American Icon Henry Mancini
LOS ANGELES - Hundreds of people attended a tribute to Henry Mancini at the Soraya. Starring Monica Mancini (Henry’s daughter), the event featured Henry Mancini’s film scores and popular standards. Stacia Raymond, Mentoris Project author of Grace Notes: A Novel Based on the Life of Henry Mancini, was there to sign copies of her book.
October 8, 2018: Columbus Statue Finds New Home
SANTA PAULA, CALIFORNIA - A statue of Christopher Columbus recently installed at Thomas Aquinas College was dedicated. Donated by Robert Barbera, College Governor at the school, the 25-year-old statue sits in the academic quadrangle. Hundred of people attended the ceremony, which was followed by a lunch. February 15, 2018: The Mentoris Project officially launcheD
LOS ANGELES - Dozens of people gathered at the Italian Cultural Institute to celebrate the official launch of The Mentoris Project. Speakers included Robert Barbera, Mentoris Project founder, and Ken LaZebnik, Mentoris Project managing editor. Mentoris Project authors Rosanne Welch (America's Forgotten Founding Father) and Kate Fuglei (Fermi's Gifts) read excerpts from their books. Guests enjoyed a wine reception afterward and had the opportunity to purchase books.
